SierrAzul provides visitors a unique, fun and educational adventure.

Among the activities that we can develop in our visit are:
1. Birdwatching led by local guides in Spanish or expert ornithologists in several languages ​​as requested by our visitors
2. Guided walks or self-guided trails in the woods to various points
Depending on the physical capacity of the visitors and their requirements, we can take walks of 1 hour to 3 days and respective nights with first class camping gear and food.

6. Trout fishing in rivers and ponds in the reserve with usually excellent results in size and quantity.
Or, we just offer you a well-deserved rest at our rustic hostelry facilities where you will enjoy a cozy reading room with a fireplace, a game room with billiards, ping pong, darts and various board games, and a careful and appetizing food service with Ecuadorian and international cuisine accompanied by a refined Chilean wine.
If your stay in SierrAzul has a scientific purpose and you plan to conduct studies of this kind, we offer premises for laboratory facilities and logistics service in addition to the common services of the hostelry.
Also, if your visit is for educational purposes with groups of young children and youngsters, we have the adequate staff for guidance, teaching and student care.

Clothing: You will need warm clothing for evenings and fast-drying hiking clothes for the walks; bathing suit for those who would like a refreshing dip in the waterfalls. It is advisable to wear jeans. Waterproof jacket or water poncho and high-heel rubber boots are necessary, and although provided by SierrAzul, you can bring your own if desired.

It is important to bring a cap with a visor, sunglasses, insect repellent, sunscreen, water bottles and a small backpack.
Binoculars are required to observe birds and head or handheld flashlights are needed for outdoor activities at night. Used batteries must be given to the guides for proper disposal in Quito.
Documents: It is essential to bring the ID card for Ecuadorian citizens or passport for foreigners.
It is important to have the health insurance cards for any eventuality. In case you suffer from diseases that require specific food or medicine, please inform SierrAzul offices in Quito, as well as the tour leader, of such condition before departure.
